We’ve all heard of all the crazy things they’ve built and are still building in Dubai such as the world’s tallest hotel and the tallest building and man made palm shaped islands. However, is there a nightlife in the city of Dubai too or will you just have to have fun in the daytime? After all, Dubai is in a Muslim country which are known to be somewhat restrictive, especially according to a lot of western standards.
Dubai at night is a whole new city. When the city lights up at night, its almost unrecognizable from what it was in the daytime. From world class bars such as the Buddah Bar and the biggest and most popular with the expats, Chi at the Lodge, Dubai has something to offer everyone. Ladies night are quite something as the Ladies love to go bar hopping drinking their free glasses of Moet from one bar to another. Good times indeed! Plus famous DJs and artists regularly stop by such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Tiny Tempeh, Rod Stewart and so much more.
However, to play on the safe side, don’t forget that it is a Muslim country and yes they are strict about their alcohol (Especially if you are drinking outside of a bar or club). As longest your are following the rules, you’ll be alright. Some common things to remember when going to a club is your passport for identification, you must be over 21 and the clubs and bars close at three in the morning.
In Dubai, all the clubs have an age limit of over 21. Personally, I think the drinking age in all the clubs in the world should be over 25 but hey, that is just my opinion. Last but not least, only drink in designated areas and do not drink and drive at all costs. You shouldn’t be drinking and driving anywhere but in Dubai the fine is about $15,000, thirty days in jail and straight deportation. Yes they are pretty strict with alcohol control so be smart. Also note that all clubs and bars (That serve alcohol) are closed at 3am so no after parties in public places.
With a very large variety of clubbing destinations and events that are taking place daily in the city of Dubai, its really hard to get bored. No wonder Dubai is one of the best cities in the world to visit for tourists from around the world. As long as you play by the rules and respect your fellow clubbers, you are bound to have a phenomenal night in the nightclubs of Dubai.
